Robert Barnby is a contemporary furniture designer running a workshop just outside the picturesque town of Hay-On-Wye in Herefordshire.
Barnby Design began life in 2012 with a mission to develop a range of furniture that would stand out not just in build quality, but also design. Being able to create objects with our hands is a joy, but Rob’s real passion is found in the refinement of design.
Attention to Detail
As the industrial designer Dieter Ram once wrote…

However achieving purity and simplicity in design isn’t always as straight forward as it sounds. We hope to some extent you feel we have, so we can continue indulging ourselves in doing what we do…
